Welcome to External Focus Golf! 

Hello there, fellow golf enthusiasts!

 

First off, thank you for stopping by and making External Focus Golf your go-to hub for all things golf. We’re thrilled to have you here, so let me give you a little backstory about myself and how this journey began.

 

Hailing from the stunning west coast of British Columbia in Powell River, my love for sports started young. I grew up thriving in competitive hockey and baseball until shoulder injuries brought my contact sports days to an early close. But, as they say, when one door closes, another opens—and for me, that door led to the golf course.

 

It all started with a casual trip to the driving range with a friend, but it quickly ignited a passion that has only grown stronger over the past decade. Since then, I've competed in amateur events across British Columbia, represented Vancouver Island University on the varsity golf team, and even snagged a top-10 finish at the National College Championship. My handicap journey? It’s gone from a beginner’s 12 to a razor-sharp +2 to +3 during peak season.

 

As a self-taught golfer, I’ve learned the game through relentless research, trial, and (plenty of) error. With a degree in Physical Education and a special interest in Clubhead Speed generation, I’ve poured years into understanding the science of golf performance. Over time, I’ve seen my swing speed soar from 105 mph in my early twenties to a scorching 122 mph in my thirties—all thanks to the right strategies and training.

 

Now, I’m here to pay it forward.

My goal is to save you the countless hours I spent chasing dead ends and give you the tools to hit the course with confidence. Together, we’ll unlock your potential and make this already beautiful game even more enjoyable.

 

Looking back, I only wish I had this kind of resource when I was starting out. It would’ve made the journey a whole lot smoother, and that’s exactly why I’ve created it for you.
